From Germany to America...
These are some foods that are now eaten in America that originated from Germany:
- Hamburgers
- Sausages
- Egg Noodles
- Pot Roasts
- Potato salad

Well heres a fact for you..
So i found one pretty interesting fact about how Germans eat, its very traditional for them to have a meal that is eaten between main meals. Which is far from being unhealthy, eating small snacks between meals is encouraged to prevent overeating at lunch and dinner.
What time is it??
The Germans' meal times are not different from ours here in America. Also, they eat all three meals a day just like us ( breakfast, lunch, dinner). We were so used to our own Schedule that we couldn't quite comprehend the exact time frame of their breakfast time, but we did figure it out for lunch and dinner. They eat lunch at about 12:00-1:00 pm, and dinner they eat at about 6 or 7:00 pm.
Food Yum!
Some of German's Cuisine dishes:

- Onion pie
- German Tomato salad
- German chocolate cake
- German Potato salad
- Soured Roastbeef

Typical Meal for me.
Well were going out tonight to eat a typical German dish and see what its all about, ive ordered the Sauerbraten, many Germans eat this meal every other day or so, its a beef roast using gingerbread, bay leaves, juniper berries, onions, carrots & wine to make the meal tasty. i enjoyed this dish even though it didnt look very good to the eye.
Hmm, all the herbs..
So i have come to find out foods in Germany are rarely spicy or heavily seasoned. But, there are a few commonly used Herbs like Bay Leaves, They are most often added to soups, stews, & casseroles. Another herb is the Caraway seeds that are most commonly used in sauces, meat dishes, & breads. They also use the Juniper berries to help spice food, most often added to marinades, spicy roasts and casseroles.

German Cuisines
After we settled down we decided to go out and have a taste of some of Germany's many traditional foods. We were eager to figure out what type of cooking methods and skills they used here to prepare their dishes. Closely examining we were greatfully able to see for just a few moma cook setup and get ready to cook. The chef's kitchen area was clean and very well prepared, there were spoons, pottery, a knife, and a plunger churn to turn cream into butter. Tabitha and I weren't able to stay and watch him cook so we left the cook to it!
Stepping off the Airplane.
Sha'Nae and I just arrived in Germany that's in Central Europe, bordering the Baltic Sea and the North Sea, between the Netherlands and Poland, south of Denmark.
Stepping off the plane was challenging with the strong winds blowing. The winters and summers are known to be cool, cloudy, and wet and it sure was. It's been a cold winter day as we first set foot in Germany.
